Restore Pelagus Wallet Using Your Seed Phrase
To restore your Pelagus Wallet, you’ll need access to your original seed phrase.
This phrase was provided only once when you first created your wallet — and cannot be exported later. If you didn’t save it during setup, recovery won’t be possible.
Pelagus does not allow you to view or export your seed phrase after the wallet is created. That’s why it’s essential to back it up safely at the beginning.
To restore your wallet, you’ll need to either remove the existing Pelagus Wallet extension from your browser or use a different browser/profile.
Then, go to the Chrome Web Store and install the Pelagus Wallet extension.

Once installed, you’ll see a prompt asking if you want to add the Pelagus Wallet to your browser.
Click “Add extension” to continue.

After installation, the wallet will open and ask you to choose between:
• Create new wallet
• Use existing wallet

To restore your account, select “Use existing wallet” — you’ll see several recovery options.
Choose “Import recovery phrase” if you have your 12–24 word seed phrase.
If you prefer restoring with a private key, check out the guide here: Restore Address using private key

You’ll be asked to create a password to log into your wallet.
Enter a strong password, store it securely, and make sure you remember it — this helps keep your funds safe.
Once you’re ready, click “Anchors Away” to continue.

Paste your recovery phrase (seed phrase) into the input field and click “Import account”.
You’ll then gain access to your restored wallet.

⚠️ Only use a recovery phrase from a wallet that supports Quai Network, such as Pelagus Wallet or Koala Wallet. Do not try to import a seed phrase from MetaMask, Rabby, or other unsupported wallets — it won’t work.
