# About Quai Network

Quai Network is the first blockchain that’s fully decentralized, censorship-resistant, and scales easily.

Unlike traditional blockchains, [Quai is made up of many blockchains that work together. They’re all connected in a unique way, like a braid](https://docs.qu.ai/learn/advanced-introduction/multithreaded-execution).

Thanks to a new system called [Proof-of-Entropy-Minima (PoEM)](https://arxiv.org/abs/2303.04305), Quai stays in constant agreement without splitting into forks. This means better performance and stronger security.
